Getting Started

Get EaseTrue up and running on your Shopify store in under 5 minutes

Quick SetupNo coding required~5 minutes
Info
Before you start: Make sure you have a Shopify store admin account. You'll need permission to install apps and access your product catalog.

Step 1: Create a Size Chart

Define garment measurements for each size with smart conditional rules.

Size charts are the foundation of EaseTrue. You'll define measurement columns, size rows, and ease values that power the AI recommendations.

Detailed Instructions:

  1. 1Go to Size Charts and click "Create new chart". Name the chart and pick the garment category (Tops, Bottoms, Dresses, etc.) and units (inch or cm).
  2. 2Add 3–5 measurement columns (e.g. Chest, Waist, Hip, Length). Use Shopify standard terms so your variants map automatically.
  3. 3Add size rows (XS, S, M, L, XL). Row labels must match your Shopify variant Option values case-insensitively.
  4. 4Enter garment values (flat measurement of the finished item) and set ease for each column. Garment value − ease ≈ ideal body measurement for a Perfect Fit.
  5. 5Mark priorities (★ to ★★★) on the most important columns — these weigh more heavily in the fit score.
  6. 6Optional: use Auto-Grading. Fill the Base Size row once, then click "Apply Grading" and enter increments to populate all other sizes.
  7. 7Open Placement Rules and assign this chart to products by tag, collection, product type, or vendor. Combine rules with AND/OR.
  8. 8Upload a reference diagram (optional) and hit Save. The chart is immediately live for matching products.

Step 2: Configure Your AI

Fine-tune the scoring engine, enable AI Body Predictor, and customize widget appearance.

The AI scoring engine analyzes customer measurements against your size charts to recommend perfect fits. Customize it to match your brand and fit preferences.

Detailed Instructions:

  1. 1Open EaseTrue Settings. Go to the Scoring Engine tab to tune your Penalty per inch, Comfort floor, and Tie-breaker preferences.
  2. 2Set your Custom size suggestion threshold (e.g., 60). If the best fit falls below this, the widget suggests a custom order.
  3. 3Enable the AI Body Predictor (Prediction Engine tab) so customers can get a size from height, weight, and age without a tape measure.
  4. 4Turn on Saved Body Profiles (Widget Features tab) so returning logged-in shoppers don't re-enter measurements.
  5. 5Customize widget appearance (Size Suggest Styling) — button label, colors, corner radius — to match your brand.
  6. 6If you're on the Custom Orders Suite, enable Self-Learning AI (KNN) so the engine retrains from real customer feedback.
  7. 7Click Save. Changes propagate to the storefront widget within seconds.

  2. 2From the top selector, switch to a Product page template.
  3. 3In the left sidebar, click "Add block" inside the Product information section and pick "EaseTrue Size Advisor".
  4. 4Drag the block to the position you want — typically right under the variant/size picker.
  5. 5(Optional) Customer Account extensions (Profile and Order Tracker) are added via the Checkout & Accounts Editor.
  6. 6Click Save in the theme editor, then open any matching product on the storefront to verify the "Find my size" button appears.

Pro Tip
Pro Tip: Use Shopify standard measurement terms (Chest, Waist, Hip, Length) so your variants map automatically. This saves hours of manual configuration.
Note
Enterprise Self-Learning AI: The KNN engine retrains from real customer feedback, continuously improving accuracy. Available on Custom Orders Suite plans.
Warning
Important: Size chart row labels must match your Shopify variant Option values case-insensitively (e.g., "S", "s", or "Small" all work). Mismatched labels won't be scored by the AI engine.
