Size Chart Builder
Master the art of creating perfect, AI-powered size charts.
Core Concepts
1. Columns vs. Rows
Columns are measurements (Chest, Waist, Inseam). Use 3–5 per chart.
Rows are your Shopify sizes (S, M, L or 32, 34) and must match the variant Option values exactly.
2. Garment Value vs. Ease
Garment value is the physical measurement of the clothing. Ease is the breathing room inside it. The AI uses this formula to find the Perfect Fit.
3. Priorities (★ to ★★★)
Weight each measurement by how much it matters. For a shirt, set Chest ★★★ and Length ★ — if a customer matches M in chest but L in length, the AI picks M.
4. Placement Rules
Assign a chart to products with conditional logic instead of manual tagging.
5. Details & Preview
Add a reference image, choose inches/cm, set gender, and use the live Customer Preview to see exactly what shoppers will see on the storefront.
6. Auto-Grading Magic
Don't enter every size manually! If your manufacturer grades evenly (e.g., +2" per size), our engine builds the entire chart for you instantly.
- Click the star (☆) to mark your Base size.
- Fill measurements for the Base size only.
- Click "Apply Grading" and enter increments.
Best Practices
Standard Terms
Use names like "Chest", "Waist", "Hip" so variants map automatically. This saves hours of manual work.
Match Variants
Row labels must exactly match your Shopify Option values (e.g., "S", "Small") case-insensitively.
Start Simple
Begin with 3–5 measurement columns. You can always add more complexity later as you learn.
