The AI Fallback
Custom Orders aren't just for bespoke tailors. EaseTrue uses Custom Orders as a powerful "safety net" to save sales that would otherwise be lost due to poor fit. We call this the AI Fallback.
How it works:

A customer is browsing your standard sizes (S, M, L) and uses the AI predictor to find their fit.

Their specific body measurements result in a very low fit score across all your standard sizes.
- 3
Instead of telling them "Nothing fits you", the widget automatically pivots and says: "We recommend a Custom Size for your body type!"
Setup Guide
Generate 'Custom Size' Variants
Create custom size options for your products automatically.
- 1Open Settings → Custom Orders in your EaseTrue dashboard.
- 2Scroll down to the Variant Generation Utility.
- 3Click Select Products and pick the products you want to offer as custom orders.
- 4Set an optional price markup (e.g., charge an extra $20 for custom sizing).
- 5Click Generate Variants. The app will automatically create the "Custom Size" variants in Shopify for you!
Enable the Feature
Turn on custom ordering for your storefront.
- 1While still in the Custom Orders Settings, scroll back up to the top.
- 2Check the "Enable Custom Size ordering on the storefront" box.
- 3Save your settings.
Attach a Size Chart
The custom measurement form needs a size chart to know which measurements to collect.
- 1Crucial step: The custom measurement form uses your size chart to know which measurements to ask for (e.g., Chest, Waist, Length).
- 2Ensure your product is covered by an active size chart, otherwise the custom order form cannot appear!
Install Customer Account Extensions
Add profile management and order tracking for your customers.
- 1Go to Settings → Customer accounts in Shopify admin.
- 2In the 'New customer accounts' section, click Customize.
- 3Select the 'Customer account' template from the top dropdown menu, click 'Add app block', and add the 'Customer Profile' (allows buyers to manage their saved measurements).
- 4Select the 'Order' template from the top dropdown menu, click 'Add app block', and add the 'Custom Order Tracker' (shows live production status to your buyers).
The Customer Experience
1. Choose "Custom Size"
Customers simply select the "Custom Size" option instead of a standard size like S or M on your storefront.
2. Smart Measurement Form
A beautiful popup asks for exactly the measurements needed for that specific garment (derived directly from your Size Chart).
3. One-Click Auto-Fill
Returning customers are recognized instantly. Their saved body profile pre-fills the form like magic!
4. Secure Checkout
Measurements are locked in, and the item drops straight into their cart for a normal, secure Shopify checkout.
Live Order Tracking (Customer Account Extension)
Buyers can log into their Shopify account and view real-time production updates (e.g., "In Production" → "Quality Check") natively, reducing support tickets.
The Merchant Workflow
Manage all custom orders through a built-in Kanban board designed specifically for apparel manufacturing. You can view details, add internal notes, assign team members, and upload reference images.

Blind Tailoring Spec Sheets
When you export orders for the factory floor, EaseTrue automatically generates Blind Tailoring Spec Sheets. This is a privacy-first feature that strips all Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from the documents.

Native Email Engine
EaseTrue includes a zero-setup email engine that fires transactional updates as orders move through the Kanban board.
Per-stage templates:Customize emails for 'In Production', 'Quality Check', etc.
Smart prevention:Skips Shopify's native 'Order Confirmed' to prevent spam.
Custom SMTP:Optionally route emails through your own SendGrid/Mailgun account.
Shopify Flow
While EaseTrue handles customer emails natively, you can use Flow to trigger internal Slack messages, Trello cards, or HTTP webhooks — we provide the data.
